Aboriginal woman picking twigs from acacia tree to make spindle to weave hair into string. Young woman carries her toddler son and she and older woman, another wife, and her son walk back to camp. Younger woman heats twig in ashes of fire , removes bark with her hands and makes spindle. (May 1965)

Aboriginal woman teases out strands of hair using her fingers , then wraps it around spindle made from twig. Starts to spin hair into string, rolling spindle on her thigh. Older woman also spinning hair. Small toddler boy plays in sand making bird tracks using stick. (May 1965)

Young aboriginal girl, around 11 years old, sets off from camp with wooden dish on her head to collect water. Girl climbs into dug out well in ground and scoops out water into larger dish. Carries heavy dish back to camp on her head. Small boy drinks on all fours. (May 1965)
