Three separate sequences feature an old deserted camp site in the Western Desert; a woman mending a cracked dish with spinifex gum; and quandong fruit being prepared by a woman as a headache cure.

Pan land in around Tika Tika, scrub. Old campsites set up by nomadic aborigines can be seen, some wet weather shelters using branches for shelter, dry camps with indents in sand . Some remnants left behind including kangaroo bones, emu feathers, grind stones etc. (May 1965)

New camp at Tika Tika made by nomadic aborigines. Young woman and toddler son seated together on ground. Boy plays with mountain devil (thorny devil). Woman heats gum, made from spinifex grass, on fire then mends cracked wooden bowl by pressing gum into it. Boy puts lizard on his head. Mother puts mended bowls in branches of tree then pulls splinter out of boy's bottom. (May 1965)

Quandong seeds used by young aboriginal woman to prepare head ache treatment. She breaks open pods to retrieve seeds then roasts them in ashes of campfire. CU woman's face and flies. Grinds roasted seeds on ground using stone. She rubs resulting lotion on her head and finds a place to lie down. (May 1965)
