Aboriginal man Minma walking across outback plain to select acacia tree to make spear from. He cuts away branches of tree with axe then makes fire in which he heats the selected branch. Uses sand on his hands to hold branch whilst straightening it with feet. Man pulls of peeling bark and then uses axe to cut off rough edges and sharpen tip to a spear point. Uses the soles of his feet as workbench while cutting. (May 1965)
