Senate Chamber, Gallery rises as Sir William Slim & other dignitaries entering the Chamber. Slim proceeds to Chair in centre of chamber and is seated between Menzies & Dame Patty Menzies. Official party seated, dignitary reads text, Sir William Slim stands & takes oath in front of Chief Justice. Slim & Sir Robert Menzies sign document. Sir William Slim's personal standard flies over Parliament House, party leave Senate, crowds in Senate. Guns and cannons firing in open country, monument in foreground.
