Aboriginal man Djungurai in hide made from branches, emus come close. He picks up spear and fixes it into spear thrower. Crouches, throws spear, emus run away, one hit. Women collect branches from tree for mulga seeds, one has small baby over her shoulder. Branches are beaten using piece of wood to remove seeds and pods. Woman hold pods to wind to separate seeds. Boy beats pods. Woman shakes dish with seeds.(Sept/Oct 1967)

Younger aboriginal man Garimara tracks emu that older man Djungurai speared earlier . CU feet walking. He starts to run and finds dead bird. Removes spear. Pan clay pan. Garimara arrives back at camp and leaves emu at Djungurai's camp. Feathers plucked from wings. Boy brings father stone knife so he can cut away legs of bird. (Sept/Oct 1967)

Aboriginal man Djungurai digs trench in ground to make oven to cook dead emu. He piles dried wood over trench and light fire with fire stick. Flaming wood, tame dingo walks nearby. Man lays emu legs (previously removed) and body in flames for a moment then runs off remaining feathers. Once embers formed, bird laid in trench and covered.(Sept/Oct 1967)
