Pan desert, bare trees with zebra finches in branches. Well holes dug out in ground, one with water in. Pan rocky ground, site of old camp. Good pan flat land with spinifex grass. Aboriginal man, Minma Djuburula, (Ngadjadjara linguistic group) walking on horizon. Camera walks with man across desert. (May 1965).

Aboriginal girl, about 11 years old, digging at bottom of well in ground, scooping at water with wooden dish. Zebra finches in trees. Family camped, two boys (one teenager , one younger) leave camp carrying spears. Other members of family prepare to leave camp, women pack food and grindstones into wooden dishes and balance them on heads. Man Minma carries spears and fire stick, family move off with children.(May 1965)

Two aboriginal boys (one teenager , one younger) trekking animal tracks, communicate with other using sign language. Find goanna tracks. Boys chase sand goanna across spinifex grass. Goanna goes into hole, boys dig and pull it out. Girl, carrying dish, stops to dig hole for sand goanna, pulls it out and hits it on log, puts dead body in wooden dish.(May 1965)

Aboriginal man Minma testing ground for goanna tunnels using long stick. Walks, stops by bush and eats Santalum fruit. Uses stick to prod bush looking for goanna, digs hole, pulls out goanna, kills it and tucks it into his belt. Inspects kangaroo tracks. Walks to area where long eared bandicoot burrows found, stops, starts digging with stick then with wooden dish until makes very deep hole, Finally pulls out bandicoot, kills it by hitting head with dish, tucks body into belt.(May 1965)
