Shadow of aboriginal man, Djagamara, as he walks. Goes to collect gum from spinifex grass, carries spear thrower. Man looks at grasses to identify correct species. Pulls up tufts of grass, places on stone and beats with stick to remove gum. He removes broken grass and places remainder in dish made from bark. Shakes grass to remove gum. Camera follows man as he walks back to camp, carrying dish and collecting fire wood.(May 1965)

At camp, aboriginal children wait as man, Djagamara, returns with gum from spinifex grass in dish made from bark. He makes fire, then holds flaming bark over grass and uses stick to collect gum by winding it on as it melts. Gum hardens as it cools.(May 1965)

Aboriginal man, Djagamara, searching for stone fragment (core stone) for use as spear. Uses hammer stone and strikes core stone to remove flakes. Selects flakes then leaves other stones behind. Returns to deserted camp. Man collects his spears and follows in the direction his family went in. He walks up to pool in dry creek bed and drinks from it on all fours. He walks past pools, along dry creek bed. HAS man walking in desert. (May 1965)
