Men & women VIPs & Governor General walk along pier, greeted by Melbourne's Lord Mayor & crowd. Dignitaries travel in carriage accompanied by mounted police. Greeted by Prime Minister Joseph Cook at Parliament House. Inspecting Guard of Honour.

Funeral of either aviator Ross Smith (aviator) or his mechanic Lieutenant J. Bennett, both killed in a plane crash in England April 1922. Coffin draped with British flag, Crowd at Parliament House, Melbourne. Coffin & flowers carried on open vehicles through Melbourne streets, accompanied by military procession. Crowds outside Flinders St Station.
