HNL 1253: WW1 - Red Cross Nurses
Group of Red Cross nurses perform training routine with stretchers. Nurses behind table distribute goods to wounded soldiers. Nurses pack white rolls of bandage as soldier nails boxes together. Men and boy civilians assemble deck chairs and crutches for repatriating soldiers. Soldiers and nurses crowd into open car and drive off. Wounded soldiers receive prosthetics from nurses. Rehabilitating soldiers drink tea, smoke cigarettes, carve wood, play cards, play croquet and relax in the grounds of convalescent hospital. (1914 1918). WWI
