HNL 1245: Burial of Australia's First Flagship
VS ÒHMAS AustraliaÓ , Australia's first flag ship (battle cruiser) which first arrived in Sydney on October 4th, 1913 and was scuttled off Sydney Heads on April 12, 1924 , sailing out of Heads of Sydney Harbour with 2 tugs. Four visiting cruisers from British fleet pays tribute. HMAS Brisbane fires salute. Captain looking through telescope. Australian ensign flag. Ship begins to list, rolls, slowly sinks under water , other ships at sea (1924). RAN & RN
