High angle WS of Manly Beach with surf lifesaving carnival in progress. Groups of lifesavers march past. Pan across crowds sitting on rocks and others swimming in rock pools at beach. Surf board riders on wave in distance and surf boats being rowed out through the waves. Lifesavers run into surf for swimming race. Group of female lifesavers, in full piece frilly swimming costumes, gathered around man as talks to them. Pan to show other girls seated in front of group wearing sashes printed with ÒManlyÓ .
