Aboriginal man Minma with dead red kangaroo. He cuts open stomach using spear thrower and guts it pulling out intestines and stomach. Swarms of flies surround dead animal and entrails. Man uses stick as a skewer to close the skin and uses intestine to bind it. He carries dead animal away over his shoulders. (May 1965)

Aboriginal man Minma arrives at camp with dead kangaroo. Boys run up and feel it then roll around and play with dead animal. Man digs trench and fills it with firewood in preparation for cooking animal. Toddler son carries fire stick and helps to light fire. Man removes tendon from leg of kangaroo to use later for binding. Aboriginal man Minma breaks legs of dead kangaroo in preparation for cooking. Throws animal into flaming fire, one singed the body is removed and tail is cut off and legs cut off at the knee. Kangaroo is laid in hot embers of trench, covered with hot ash to cook. (May 1965)

Young aboriginal woman makes patterns in sand using stick, older woman does the same making bird tracks. Boy runs up with his father Minma to dead kangaroo cooking in trench. Man removes animal from fire and ashes. Woman lays bed of green leaves where animal is laid and cut up by man using axe. Tame dingo close by. (May 1965)
