Muddy suburban clay road, men taking sample from wet surface. VS mechanical analysis of samples and CUs of various testing methods. Power grader scarifying soil on road surface, CU ruler measuring depth, tipping truck spreading sand. Rotary mixer working surfaces together, followed by water from power sprayer, then bituminous emulsion. CU man testing consistency with hand. Grading of mix, hosing by hand, general traffic over surface. CU shrinkage cracks, watering, finish with drag broom. Flux bitumen being applied to surface, steam rising, aggregate being spread from trucks. VS cars over finished road surface.
